Our Vision The SomerVille Vision:
At every stage in the journey, community consultation is a key driver. Creating our Vision Statement was no exception. The Vision Statement was developed at the Confirming the Vision Workshop held at SomerVille Ecovillage™ on the 13th of June 2004 and confirmed within a few days of the workshop. In May and June 2007 we reviewed our vision statement as we have had many new members join us since 2004. We conducted a community consultation session on reviewing the vision and the above vision is our new and improved vision. Our previous vision was " a village where community flourishes, in which every person's needs are supported in balance with a sustainable ecological ethic ". A vision only works if all members of the community feel aligned with its purpose, therefore we will review the vision regularly to ensure that all members feel connected with the wider purpose of SomerVille.
