The SomerVille Ecovillage™ community purchased the land in Chidlow in October 2002 with all funds raised from within the community.

Located in Chidlow – 45 minutes from the centre of Perth

399 acres of land (162 hectares)
70% natural vegetation, 30% cleared land
Established orchard
North facing gently sloping land
Existing cottage and other improvements
Winter creek
State Forest on southern and western boundaries
Bridle trail on northern boundary

Directions

From Old Northam Road, turn into Ash Road (roundabout) and drive for about 2.5 kilometres. Turn right into the gate at the North Eastern most corner of the Property. (Should be marked by a colored flag on the gate).

This will be the primary access point to SomerVille during the Infrastructure Stage. However as the SomerVille property is developed access will be moved to an entry point on Ash Road with a roundabout constructed at the Progress Drive intersection.

The Meeting place for Tours is at the Chidlow Community Hall (Corner of Old Northam Road and Coothallie Road - just before the roundabout).
