We are a diverse community of individuals and families who have come together with a common purpose, to create a world-class ecovillage in the Perth Hills in Western Australia.  

Our interests include caring for the earth, good quality of life for ourselves and our neighbours, sharing knowledge and resources, and having fun together!  As well as environmental and cultural/social aspects of living sustainably, SomerVille also incorporates commercial enterprise and technology.

Within our growing community we have physicists, engineers, trades people, vegetarians, healers, teachers, single mums, young people, retirees, children of all ages, and many others. We truly value the diversity within our community.

The development of SomerVille has been guided by permaculture principles to deliver a community where environmental, economic, and social sustainability are the norm.

It has been a long and challenging journey and, as we move towards the end of the establishment phase, we look forward to building our homes on the land and turning our dream into a reality.
