In native culture, the Drum
is considered a holy object, alive with it's own spirit and
consciousness. The drum beat relates to the pulse of life, the
heartbeat, the rhythm of the earth. The circle of the hoop drum
relates to the cycle of life, death and rebirth and represents
eternity, completion, unity and wholeness. The drum is a very
powerful healing tool used for clearing blockages and restoring
energy. It brings about a more balanced state of being.
Drumming the body sends the spirit to the
heavens and at the same time - grounds us to mother earth.
The drum course: Your sacred journey
begins in the tipi at 9.30am with a smudge and body drumming and
finishes at 5.30pm and you will take home with you a beautiful
drum, drum stick and a wonderful day of interaction with John
and nature.
during the day, we give thanks and
honoring to the Deer and Standing people, Ancestors and Spirits
- for the gifts of the day and for the great mystery ! |

We
perform the "Agnihotra" fire at sunset and then a blessing is
given. A guided meditation follows. The night is filled with
chanting; singing, drumming, expressing with the talking stick.
Honoring our "Mother Earth", the elements and four directions
creates a beautiful healing space that encourages the
celebration of life and the celebration of "self". We give
thanks to Grandmother moon for the love and joy she bathes down
on us. The drumming energy is very soothing and healing and
opens the heart and base chakras. It is a joyous night of
celebration, honoring and connecting with spirit.
Due to space restrictions, children are
unable to attend at the full moon drumming's, hope this does not
cause too much inconvenience. Please phone to confirm starting
times, which vary - due to the "Agnihotra" Sunset fire and
daylight savings. |
